FAQs

How was Stories For Woman started?
I decided on beginning Stories For Women in my final year of university. It began as a little project for myself and my wonderful, talented course mates to work on over the summer, but the word has spread and we've grown a lot since then. We all knew that we needed a place to share poems, memoirs and stories of what it really was to be a young woman of every faith, race and sexuality within the 21st century, and this is just the place to do it.

Who can contribute?
Stories For Women welcomes anyone. Female or male. Obviously, if you want to remain anonymous, you can. Or if you want to put a name to your work, you can do that as well. Mostly, we're looking for stories from women aged seventeen plus, who love to write and who want to share their words with others alike.

What sort of writing does Stories For Women encourage?
If you have something to say - something that you believe has been affected by your gender, we want to hear from you. Stories about sexuality, about periods, pregnancy, harassment, race and religion. If you want to share it, get in touch. We've had some very varied works so far, and we want to keep on with the variety. #

How do I contribute?
